The EDFOC is a (501)(C)(3) non-profit organization. All donations are fully tax-deductible.  Our Goals 1) To bring awareness to the eating
disorder epidemic2) To eliminate eating disorders through prevention
and education3) To eradicate the misconceptions and myths about
eating disorders4) To accurately and effectively educate parents,
teachers, and coaches as to the reality of eating disorders in our community5) To provide the much needed support for
families and friends of individuals with eating disorders6) To offer scholarships and funding for those

 Our MissionThe Eating Disorder Foundation of Orange County is dedicated to the awareness and prevention of eating disorders
through education in our local schools, businesses, and sports organizations. We provide our community with honest and accurate eating disorder information accessible to all
residents of Orange County.
We offer individuals struggling with eating disorders and their families the opportunity to meet with others who are suffering through this devastating illness and get the added support that is so desperately needed during recovery. We encourage interested individuals and groups to join together and form a strong voice that seeks to find a cure for eating disorders. Our primary goal is to reach out to our children and educate them on the realities of eating disorders before an eating disorder develops. Special Focus: AthletesWe provide education, counseling referrals, and presentations to individual athletes as well as teams.
Of special research and focus are those individuals who engage in the following sports (but not limited to): gymnastics, figure skating, dance, cheer, running, and/or any media focused profession such as modeling or acting. |
